big and functional September 16, 2009 D. Mobley (Oklahoma) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This hat has a very wide brim, making it look huge on my 4 month old, but I guess the point is to block the sun so it definately serves it's purpose. I like that it has an adjustable string inside so you can make it fit your baby's head and adjust it as they grow. The brim seems to flop down on my baby's face easily but she doesn't seem to mind to much as of yet. Seems comfortable and cool.
Starting sun protection early April 27, 2009 M. Abe 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for my nine month old grandson this spring, when we started to spend time outside. It shades his face fully, which is good, since some pediatricians do not recommend using sun tan lotion this early. It is comfortable and he does not fuss at it. (He had a snow hat he hated, and we realized the inside was terribly scratchy.) It is a good size to grow into, and it should last two summers. It is great to have the easy to fasten under chin pieces, to protect both from wind and his sometimes wandering hands that love to pull at anything. He wore it today for a long hike to a waterfall, in a back pack. I highly recommend it.

Nice hat to cover up baby in the sun. Floppy, but not too much. Good quality
Never Leave the House without it! January 24, 2010 First Year Mom (Garland, TX USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I LOVE this product. We live in sunny Texas, making a sunhat a necessity. My baby has been wearing the lavendar sunhat since she was 7 months old (she's 11 months now). We always keep it in her diaper bag, taking it with us wherever we go.
I noticed one of the reviewers commented it was too big...yes, it's a floppy hat but that's ultimately why it works so well to keep the sun out of my baby's eyes. Plus, it's fairly easy to flip the brim up if you want to get it out of your baby's face (although I haven't found it to be a real problem).
Take a look at the "customer images" under the product picture. I've uploaded some pictures so that you can see what it looks like on my baby. Hopefully that will help you decide.
Great sun hat for playing in the sand May 29, 2009 E. Ko I love the iPlay sunhats as the brim is wide enough to really keep the sun out of her face when she is playing in the sand. We also use it when she plays in the garden. Be warned that it is wide and floppy so not necessarily for children running around as the visibility isn't great. We trained our daughter early that she cannot play in the sun without the hat on so she accepts the fact we have to tie it on.
